Your help for earthquake victims

I want to update you about the unfolding situation in Haiti and ask for your prayers and continued support.



As many as 3 million Haitians were affected by the devastating 7.0 earthquake last Tuesday. Many have lost their homes and loved ones. World Vision has more than 800 Haitian staff as well as a dozen international disaster response experts responding throughout affected areas. You can help Haiti begin the healing process.



World Vision is rushing 18 metric tons of basic relief supplies to the quake zone. We are focusing on distributions for families and providing food, clean water, and emergency medical care. The country's infrastructure has been devastated, and the magnitude of this catastrophe is enormous.



Thanks to US government grants, your gift today will multiply 3x in impact to provide food, clean water and shelter, as well as help Haiti rebuild for the future. The people who live in Haiti already have suffered so much from poverty, disease and unrest and we can provide some relief.



If you've already given a gift, thank you. We have been overwhelmed by the generosity of people like you, but this will certainly be a marathon. World Vision has worked in Haiti for over 30 years and our commitment to Haiti extends beyond our immediate response to this disaster. We ask that you continue to run this race beside us. Please pray for children and their families who have been affected by this disaster and for World Vision's staff as they provide emergency relief in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead. Pray that God will bring hope out of despair as He builds a new Haiti from the rubble.
